Privacy Policy
At omdown, we protect your privacy the simplest way possible: we do not collect your personal data. You can download public videos and audio freely without creating an account or signing in.
No Accounts & No Registration
You can use all features of omdown directly in your browser without account registration, entering a name, or setting a password.
We do not maintain a user profile database. Every visit remains anonymous.
Direct Media Streaming (CDN)
When you paste a public link, omdown only helps resolve the address so your browser can download the file.
In most cases, media files stream directly from the content provider's servers (such as official platform CDNs) to your device. omdown does not permanently store or archive your downloads on our servers.
If a specific format or platform (such as YouTube) requires server-side processing to merge video and audio, media data is buffered on our server storage only ephemerally to facilitate the download and is automatically deleted immediately afterward.
Browser Storage for Preferences
omdown uses your browser's local storage solely to remember your preferred settings.
- Language selection between English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- Basic local device preferences stored directly in your browser without ad tracking.
Technical Server Logs & Security
Like most websites, our servers temporarily record basic technical details such as temporary IP addresses and browser types.
We use this information only to defend site security, prevent automated bot attacks, and apply rate limiting to keep the site stable for everyone. These logs rotate regularly and are never tied to personal identities.
Third-Party Platforms
omdown processes links from various public social platforms including TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
During a download, your device connects directly to the platform hosting that file. That platform's privacy policy applies to data exchanged between your device and their servers.
Secure HTTPS Connections
All traffic between your browser and omdown is protected with standard SSL/TLS (HTTPS) encryption.
This encryption keeps the URLs you enter and your communication with our site protected from network eavesdropping.
Your Privacy & Choices
Because we never keep user accounts, you can clear your browser storage at any time to remove all saved preferences.
If you email us at [email protected], your email address and message are used only to respond to your inquiry.
Updates to This Policy
If we make changes to how omdown operates that affect this policy, we will update this document along with the date at the top.
You can check this page periodically to stay informed about any policy updates.
